The Y83-1600 horizontal metal briquetting machine is a heavy-duty, fully integrated hydraulic press designed for metal recycling plants handling heterogeneous waste materials. With a rated pressure of 16,000 kN and a stable operating pressure of 25 MPa, it can compress loose metal scraps (from cast iron and aluminum to copper) into uniform, high-density cylindrical blocks.
Unlike vertical briquetting machines, which struggle to handle continuous feeding and large volumes of material, the Y83-1600's horizontal layout allows for gravity-assisted feeding via a large 1400 × 800 mm hopper. The resulting metal blocks (Φ350 mm × 200–330 mm) have a steel chip density ≥4.5 T/m³, significantly reducing storage space and transportation costs while maintaining the original metallurgical properties of the raw material.
The equipment employs a mechatronics architecture, perfectly combining a robust mechanical frame, an intelligent electrical control system, and a highly responsive hydraulic circuit. This synergy ensures repeatable cycle times, minimized operator intervention, and long-term reliability under all-weather foundry or rolling mill conditions.
